Syndicated Loan Market Business Analyst Seeking a Business Analyst with at least 5 years prior experience in the financial sector and at least one year of experience within syndicated loan markets. Applicants must possess solid experience with integrated systems as well as strong understanding of technology terms and fundamentals.
The business analyst candidate will provide the link between the customer, development team, and any third party regarding software functionality that supports loan inventory and its components. The candidate will be a key player involved in the entire product development life cycle.
Duties & accountabilities - Perform analysis on business problems and requirements to determine source and develop options / alternatives. Make recommendations among alternatives. - Define modifications to existing systems in order to meet internal and external user requirements. - Work closely with the business partners and subject matter experts to produce artifacts including business requirements, functional specifications, test plans, release notes, and marketing materials. - Perform in depth product testing and ongoing support for the quality assurance team. - Provide level 2 support for customer support issues. - Provide reporting services to support both internal and client operations.
Requirements: Education and experience - Undergraduate degree in the field of technology or finance; Graduate degree (MS, MBA) Business Certifications (CFA, CPA, CAIA, FRM, etc)preferred - At least 5 years prior experience as a Business Analyst - At least 1 year of experience in the syndicated loan market/structured finance obligations (including CLO's, CDO's, etc)
Commercial awareness - Experience in loan processing, including intimate knowledge of the messages/notices used to communicate changes to the underlying loans held by investors
Business Analyst/Technical Skills: - Expert MS Office and MS Excel skills - Solid experience with integrated systems - Understanding of technology terms and fundamentals
Desired Qualifications - Unique blend of business and technology expertise - Previous experience with a software product launch - Solid experience with Web Services (SOAP) - Expert XML skills - Expert SQL skills
Communication - Strong written and verbal communication skills - Ability to lead conference calls with both internal and external participants
Teamwork - Ability to work creatively, propose ideas and contribute to working groups - Ability to work in a very close team, collaborating with both loan team members as well as other teams within the organization
