Senior Project Manager - Human Resources Talent Acquisition Category: PM/BA Description: Major Global Financial Services Firm Salary: 120K - 150K + Bonus Position: Permanent Location: Jersey City, NJ Job Number: 4399Details: As a manager on the HR Technology global team, you will be responsible for the transition and implementation of the core HR Management System (HRMS). The scope of the program will also include the design and implementation of the HCM Portal to be used by employees, managers and HR professionals, focusing on intuitive interface design. The role requires previous extensive experience implementing large ERP systems with a very high proficiency level of HR functional expertise on the Employee Lifecycle. Providing oversight of the overall Technology architecture for this initiative is a critical responsibility, requiring deep understanding of web, multi-tier applications, associated security and privacy design details, while delivering scalable, reliable, high performing applications. You will need to closely interact with senior HR and Technology Management to communicate project status, risks and issues. Thought leadership required to interact with the HR business areas to understand the functional requirements for the initial implementation as well as ongoing enhancements.
Responsibilities:
- Program and Project Management - Proactively involving key users and project constituents in all stages of projects; communicating status and risks in a direct and open manner; managing project scope and risk; planning and tracking of projects.
- Vendor Management - Oversight of vendor resources, deliverables and the associated budget.
- People Management - Take responsibility for developing talent, provide coaching, mentoring, guidance, instruction and feedback. Promoting ownership and motivating the team. Delegating authority with appropriate oversight.
- Business Management - Helping to ensure delivery of high quality technology solutions to the business within agreed timeframes and budgets. Forming successful partnerships with clients. Having a commercial mindset & understanding how technology solutions can deliver value to the business.
- Communication - Influencing others, communicating clearly and persuasively and building consensus when required. Sharing information appropriately both locally and with the global team, especially with other managers.
- Technical Architecture and Management - Maintaining awareness of new and existing technologies, architectures and best practices; building relationships with technical experts; balancing engineering with business needs; encouraging flexible and adaptable architectures with appropriate focus on key attributes such as scalability, performance, robustness, extensibility, compatibility, supportability, and reusability. Must focus on user interface design.
Basic Qualifications
Skills/Experience:
- Minimum 15+ years of experience managing ERP implementations.
- 10+ years of Technology architecture experience is required for ERP systems, multi-tier architectures and HR Portals, leveraging software development lifecycle methodologies from design and development to implementation and support. User interface design experience is required.
- Experience with HR process mapping and redesign preferred.
- Business analysis and requirements gathering abilities.
- Detailed working knowledge of how HR services are delivered at the process level.
- Proven track record of managing large technical, geographically dispersed project team.
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).
- Good user requirements analysis skills and the ability to collaborate and build strong user relationships; must be a team player.
- Senior level HCM / HR functional experience required. Subject matter expertise in employee lifecycle events and overall HCM functional architecture is a critical requirement. Financial services experience a significant plus.
- Strong project management experience and proven track record on delivering projects successfully. Must work well under pressure with the ability to manage multiple deliverables efficiently and effectively.

- Good analytical and problem solving skills
