Position Description:

The Senior Solutions Architect will design Information Management solutions in a Capital Markets, Data Warehouse environment.

Primarily this function involves ensuring that the tools we have are utilized properly, identifying gaps in our stack of tools and investigating, analyzing and recommending new tools for our environment which can fill those gaps

Contribute to the enterprise body of knowledge with industry standard tools and techniques by creating best practices documentation and training programs for our toolset, while enforcing it through design and implementation reviews.

Daily tasks include but not limited to:

• Schedule and chair design and implementation reviews
• Perform vendor product analysis reviews, manage POC's, document results, create recommendations and present to Senior Management
• Create processes and procedures for usage of all tools
• Create and facilitate training program for best practices and usage of all Data Warehousing tools in our stack
• Work with project teams and data architect/modelers in maintaining all documentation through the SDLC.

Skills Required:

• 10+ Years of IT/ Data Warehousing/architecture and practitioner experience, in an IT organization preferably in Financial Industry;
• Thorough knowledge of all Data Warehousing functions of Data Modeling, ETL Services, Data transport across multiple platforms, Metadata Repositories, Data Warehousing, Archiving a and Business Intelligence- including but not limited to Reporting, Ad-hoc queries, MOLAP, ROLAP, Dashboards, Scorecards, Predictive Analytics and Artificial Intelligence
• Understand both relational and multi-dimension technique
• Thorough in depth knowledge of each of our stack of products which primarily are IBM mainframe products, DB2, COBOL, Data Propagator, Informatica, Teradata and Business Objects
• Knowledge of the IBM mainframe, Teradata and NT platforms
• Understanding of ZOS, UNIX and NT
• Most importantly when to use each tool, platform and technique
