Microsoft Developer: Equity Derivatives Trading Systems/OMS

 

Seeking a top Microsoft Developer for Equity Derivatives Trading Systems, who possesses a strong  background in building high performance intraday ticking risk and position keeping systems, FIX protocols, and finally order and front office derivative based order management systems.

 

The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills and possess applicable experience working with orders and executions all the way through to end of day reconciliations (and all the intermediate stages) and experience/desire to work with traders on a trading floor.

 

Background/Experience:

  • Bachelors degree; Computer Science, Mathematical degree preferred
  • Minimum of 5 years of applicable experience
  • Experienced with equity derivatives (listed options, futures) trading systems
  • Building high performance intraday ticking risk and position keeping systems, FIX protocols
  • Building order and front office derivative based order management systems

 

Commercial Awareness:

  • Familiar with multi asset trading and risk management systems, position keeping, trading and intraday derivatives risk, Options, option trading, risk and risk calculations.
  • Familiar with market data and the challenges of options market data.

 

Critical technology skills include:

  • Microsoft based C++/.Net/C# development
  • Databases, SQLServer programming.
  • Background in FIX protocols, order and front office derivative based order management systems.

 

Highly Desirable:

  • Activ Financial market data is a substantive plus.
  • Background in equity regulatory requirements (Oats and Act reporting) is a plus.
  • Convertible bond background is a plus.

 

Personal Skills Required:

  • Excellent conceptual thought process, with ability to understand a situation or problem by identifying patterns or connections, and addressing key underlying issues
  • Must have excellent organizational skills
  • Must be able to work well under pressure
